ERik, *warm smile* how on earth could you say that group mode
doesn't work well if you haven't yet used it?… <smile. Forgive me
but THAT'S CRAZY TALK! lol! You know that.
Anyway, I tried both modes and they both seem to load equally
well. to be honest, it really seemed as if DOM mode actually took a
bit longer, but the only real way to tell, would be with some bench
mark util, as the diff seemed obvious to me, but it could have been
anything. I'm curious for your exp when you try it.
I had no prob at all jumping from heading to heading or between
other elements in group mode, and I personally found the page very
sensibly laid out but your mileage may vary. Out of curiosity, which
machine are you running? You'd mentioned that you were thinking it
might get bogged down?…
anyway, have an awesome day and thanks for clarifying what ya
meant. -Rock!…
Smiles,
Cara :)

It does, but in terms of usibility I'm thinking about things like VO
finding and using all the elements on the page like controls and
headings, the lay out of the page in dom mode, the fact that buttons
and links click properly which they don't seem to under windows.
When I'm thinking abut performance I'm looking at the time it takes
to load, jump from one object to another and such. Group mode on
facebook is going to be a bit nuts. I haven't tried it, but I'm
almost scared to. My computer might go on strike. Besides, I'm not
sure it would lay the information out better than it is in dom mode.

Are you using dom mode or group mode? Dom is slower on usibility
but faster on performance. Group is faster on usibility but
slower on performance. I tend to use facebook in dom mode because
the pages get so big that they bog down with group mode.

I'm talking about MySpace in regards to VO and graphics. A lot of
my friends have elaborate profiles, and I find that it can be a
bit sluggish when trying to navigate to the headings when viewing
Facebook profiles.
