Can I just jump in and say something about load times? I observed that how fast a page loads also depends on how much bandwith is available on the internet hook up you're using also. If you're sharing an internet hookup with someone who is playing games on line or doing other interactive activities, it's going to make loading pages slower also.
Felix noticed on Skype, that when he's dong a file transfer while still talking to someone, if they both hang up the file transfer goes infinantly faster after they hang up! Unless, in one case, his friend's son was playing online games, and so it didn't go faster until his son stopped playing and freed up the bandwith. Just a thought. janet ---------------------------------------- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: a tip for facebook and myspace mac users > Date: Sun, 29 Jun 2008 11:45:50 -0700 > > ERik, *warm smile* how on earth could you say that group mode > doesn't work well if you haven't yet used it?… but THAT'S CRAZY TALK! lol! > You know that. > > Anyway, I tried both modes and they both seem to load equally > well. to be honest, it really seemed as if DOM mode actually took a > bit longer, but the only real way to tell, would be with some bench > mark util, as the diff seemed obvious to me, but it could have been > anything.
