Hi Andrew,

I've configured a zoom setup for someone's laptop. The way it works with
VoiceOver the whole screen gets zoomed around your cursor when you
zoom in (Command-Option-Equal Sign) and the zoomed region can move
as you move your cursor. Depending on how you've set your zoom options
the magnified region will either shift continuously as you move your cursor or will shift center when your cursor reaches the edge of the zoomed region.

This behavior is configured by pressing the Option button in the Zoom menu
entry under the "Seeing" tab of the Universal Access Menu under System
Preferences. Use VO-keys+M to go the menu bar, Arrow down and press
"S Y" to navigate to "System Preferences" and return. Press "U N" to navigate to the "Universal Access" button and press (VO-space). In the menu, VO-left arrow to the "Seeing" tab and select it (VO-space). VO-right arrow to the
Zoom settings and set the Zoom radio button to "On" (VO-space). VO-right
to the "Options" button and press (VO-space). VO-right arrow to the sliders
that will let you set the default maximum and minimum rapid zoom values.
Interact (VO-Shift-Down Arrow) with the horizontal sliders to set preferences
and stop interacting (VO-Shift-Up Arrow) when done. You can continue to
zoom in past the default rapid zoom value by holding down the zoom in
keys (Command-Option-Equal Sign), There are also preference options
for how the screen image moves with the cursor when zoomed.

I'm not sure what you mean by going to full screen mode here. I know that in VisioVoice there is a separate zoom cursor around selected text, where the selected text portion gets zoomed but the rest of the screen does not.

You might want to ask other users on this list about these function settings.

Cheers,

Esther

Hi All,

Anyone managed to do much with the magnification? I can switch it on and off, but it doesn't appear to go full screen. I use Supernova on Windows,
and find magnification useful at times.

Thanks in advance for any info

Andrew
