We are, of course, talking about the new 4G iPods, are we not? And they have a built-in recorder? How much music can it record at one time. Our set is a continuous one; we don't take breaks, so I will have to select moments that I think would be suitable for critiquing. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.

Apparently the iPod Nano and I think some other models have a recorder built-in.

Hello Richard, how are you doing?

I hope all is well.

While that is a great idea, I would like a portable recorder, that I can actually take with me to place to place. I want to be able to upload the files on my mac afterwards.

Audacity will do what you want, and it's free. Do a Google search, and in the Search Edit, type Audacity for theMac. That will take you to the site where you can find this software recorder. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.
