Thanks guys. I'm having the same problem with my Freetalk Stereo Headset (buddy pack) mic. Oddly enough, it recognises and can record from the line-in jack with my patch cord and y adapter. I wonder if there's some kind of device I can use with that cord to make the mic work? Alternatively, I've got my eye on a Plantronics 625 headset, which has usb and regular inputs.
