Hi Jacob, Have you tried running a hardware synthesiser in a VM session using this adapter? I tried and couldn't get mine to work, I just heard garbage coming out of my Keynote SA when activating it under a VM session using Wineyes or Jaws. Thanks in advance,

It works great and handles every serial task you can throw at it. It costs $29, so it's one of the more expensive serial adapters, but it's worth it if you need it. The model number of mine, for the record, is the Keyspan USA19HS. I got mine from newegg.com. As one lister has said, make sure that it is indeed the serial connection that you need. If you need a parallel connector then a USB serial adapter won't help, and you'll need to find a USB parallel adapter that has a Mac driver.
