No, you remembered the ports correctly.  It's a 25-pin female serial
port, which I found strange, considering how most serial ports are
9-pin.  I don't think that cable should be hard to find, though, and
I'll probably need it even if I wanted to use the serial port on one
of my Windows machines.  I'm used to using a parallel port for
printing, though I've used serial ports many times.
