Yeah, and they are fairly cheap today. I got one that is a bit more
than I needed, but at the time I had two boxes hanging on it. THe only
annoying part is hearing all that beeping. :) I've been using UPS
units since the early to mid 90's.

coming so I turned off and unplugged everything but it meant some
inconvenience, everything was down for a good while before the storm
came so the whole episode got me thinking in the world of UPS stuff,
I could (in theory) keep going until the power was lost and then
save my data, yes inconvenient perhaps but not as inconvenient as
deliberately turning everything off and just staring at the wall,
waiting for the weather to improve <smile>.
