Hi,

Garage Band is great for that, and is pretty nice to work with for now.

Thanks for listening,
Alex,

I think it all goes into the time and effort you want to put into it. I am still recently blind and still grasping at visual items and how they "look" to the older blind. I dont know anything about you and how long you have been blind or if you even have have a comprehendtion of what colors "look" like. I know you can add clip art and images into documents and stuff like that, I dont know exactly what you want know. as far as the music, the mac goes, I use garage band and a usb condenser mic made by audio teknia , it is a large diaphiram mic and records verry well. the only I can tell you is I spent countless of hours working with state services relearning the computer using windows blinds, jaws, and freedom box and as soon as I got the apple home, I plugged it in and was able to explore with out wory of screwing anything up and eventually learning it. dont let the cridics at state services swade you or other blind with a microsoft based computer. they are not informed. I had to learn the hard way by investing loads of money into screen readers and still having to deal with the usual p c junc. are you in the u.s.a. I would be glad to talk to you and and I will make the call to help you as I had lots of help from people help me when I went blind. hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Dan. Which music applications are you using? Are you able to handle projects with multiple midi and audio tracks, virtual instruments, effects plugins, that sort of thing?

More importantly, are you able to produce professional-looking notation on paper for sighted folks? That last one is most important, since I teach guitar to sighted kids.

Chris
