Dan, don't worry about colors and visual concepts. I was just 
asking what applications you were using to make music. You 
mentioned Garage Band which, while fun, is definitely intended for 
the hobbyist.  I'll be ready to switch to the mac once I can use 
some of the professional products out there, like Sibelius or 
Finale for Notation, Logic for recording, etc.
