anyone tried cdcat?

Hi guys,  Any one ever tried CD cat from http:// 
cdcat.sourceforge.net?  I'm really excited about it because it has the  
ability to include info files in the catalog, and because it's a  
universal package that will work on all OS.  If it's accessible I'm  
going to convert my entire catalog over to it.  The thing is, if you  
want to run on linux or mac, you have to compile it yourself, and I do  
haven't ever done this before.  The directions are quite clear, but  
they assume you are comfortable compiling programs from source...  
which I am not.
