I have a number of things running in the background. At times I would like to stop them. Why have things running when you might not use them for some time?
I deleted the QuickStart. It did not start that much faster than ordinarily. I generally have enough time to do a couple of things while programs are starting up. Heck, I pay just about CA$19.month for 300hr dialup. Lots of time there. So, being able to choose what is running, to me is an advantage.
