My only private beef, is the somewhat buggy nature of the OOo database...
QuickStarter and OOo base, just don't seem to get along together on my
computer, but OOo base runs just dandy with the quickstarter is turned off.

I'll use OOo 2.0, but the quickstarter will need to remain turned off while I
use OOo base.

probably most of us have a couple of problems with 1.9 builds. are there
any that are serious enough so that in spite of all benefits that could
be gaine by switching to 2.0 you still would be using 1.1 ? not problems
that might prevent your organization from using oo.org, but you
peronsally. just you :)

here are two that completely convinced me that i should use 1.1 for
everything except testing...

1. when using generic widgets, floating toolbars always return to upper
left corner. switch applications - they're back. some dialog - they're
back. the only workaround i could find - don't use them. when i dock all
of them, they stick there.

this issue still is assigned to requirements and i have no idea wether
it will be fixed for 2.0...

2. this has been discussed a lot. and the sad thing is, the
functionality was in oo.org, it just got removed without a reason.
yes, remembering the last edit position.

yesterday i tried to use 1.9m87 to edit some 20-40 page documents. after
30 minutes of work frustration was big enough to switch back to 1.1.4. i
knew that i have got used to this feature, but i didn't know that it's
absence would be that important.

there have been no dev response for some time, and i fear that the
longer it's delayed, the more problems might arise.

although i will suggest 2.0 for my organization (better support for
msoffice documents, nice pdf export, shapes and other features make it a
really nice improvement), i'll still use 1.1 myself, unless "my private
showstoppers" will go away.
