That is not the same thing as saying that paragraphs don't split. I understand that OOo 2.0 won't interpret text files quite the same (e.g. the relationship between margins, headers and footers). My impression is that this is to make it easier to import/export MSO files. > Under Format, Paragraph, Text Flow tab, options, the Do not split > paragraph is ALWAYS checked. If you only change the attribute for *one* paragraph, why would you expect it to also change for *other* paragraphs? If you want to change the attribute for all paragraphs, you should edit the underlying paragraph style. For example, if the paragraph style is "Text body": 1) Open the Styles & Formatting Window. That is, click on the left-most icon on the third toolbar. It looks like a hand with a finger on top of a sheet of paper. It's right next to the Apply Style menu. 2) On Paragraph Styles, (top row, click on the left-most button) select the paragraph style in question. In my example, "Text body". 3) Right-click > Modify 4) Then click on the Text Flow tab, make the change and click OK. > When I edited an 80 page document I ended up unchecking this thing about > 50 times. I would encourage you to read about styles. I wrote the Intro to Styles chapter of the OOo user guide. I have a draft for OOo 2.0, based on the pre-release version: http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide2/writer/draft_pub/IntroStyles.sxw/file_view http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide2/writer/draft_pub/IntroStyles.pdf/file_view Understanding styles will make you inmensely more efficient with OOo. Especially if you deal with large documents. If you like this chapter, I hope you will consider helping out at OOoAuthors.
