There is a marketing issue in all this. If people have a file problem with MSO they will tend to say "oh, that's just bad luck, all technology has some peoblems and I just have to live with it". If they hit the same or similar problem with OOo after a recent migration they are likely to say "I should have kept with MSO this new thing doesn't work properly." I have come across this with migrations several times. Ordinary end users don't like change so this is a marketing problem until OOo becomes the norm. There is no simple answer but we should be aware of the issue and be able to provide information such as the fact that MS don't have perfect file interchange between versions. Some people use MS Works and I should think the file interchange between OOo20 and all versions of MS Office is better than between Works and MSO but intuitively many people would believe that file transfer between Works and MSO would be better because they are both MS products. -- Ian Lynch <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ZMSL --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
