To Whom this May Concern:

Being this suite (i.e.: Open Office) Microsoft's Office's main competitor,
shouldn't its developers aim to the same main goals they aim?

In other words, as Office showed up in the market to solve every office's main
problems (thence, its name). Well,... in fact Microsoft was very good at
incorporating other peoples' solutions.

Well, let's not waste more time in same moot arguments. What I want to add is
this: Microsoft is now aiming at providing the ultimate managerial tools (yes,
they are marketing geniuses), i.e.: dashboards and scorecards.

They work with elements of Office (and other parts to be purchased separately),
would anyone tell me whether there may be equivalent tools obtainable on the
free market, i.e.: Open Office, open source or otherwise?

I know it's not an easy question to answer since most software developers are
throwing their weight in it.

Thanks for your help and consideration in this matter.
