that Word is not able to handle. Users expect to be told about this and

There's an easy way to switch the warning off but we must show it by
default. You can either configure this manually or install an OOo
extension (for a single or all users of an installation) that does it
for you. If you wanted to know more about the extension and how to
install it easily please let me know.

It seems to me that if you choose M$ formats for the default, then these features should simply be greyed out. and/or OOo should double save, saving in both doc and ODF every time a save is done.
