It seems to me that if you choose M$ formats for the default, then these
features should simply be greyed out.  and/or OOo should double save,
saving in both doc and ODF every time a save is done.


Sounds like something for a configuration set, or 'case'
been talking about that sort of thing, and should file a RFE
