Hi Dyck, open office is open source. That implies, that the source can be checked by everyone to verify that there is no malware included at all. Open Office does not contain any of these. The reason for beeing free of charge to use it is: all the people having helped to build this product are proud of they work, they really have MADE something rather usefull and they want you to use it.
