You can add additional comments and/or votes to the bug report:

 http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=82886

Two additional things to point out:

1) OOo can be installed parallel to other office suites. It is a useful
utility to recover corrupted MSO files and the occasional document in
very old formats. I would suggest having the support department add it
to the loadset as optional utility.

2) If I understand correctly, some components of Koffice are available
for MS Windows.

That vendor, unfortunately, is expert at Google-bombing and most hits on
any search results for ODF go to articles or sites about their products
and have little to do with ODF. The suggestion is good however, it's
just a matter of how to achieve it.
