I'm disappointed  that you chose Beijing for the 2008 OOoCon.  Given the 
Chinese government's poor  human rights record and violent crackdown on 
protests in Tibet, a decision to  hold any conference in China is a tacit 
endorsement of the government's  conduct.  I am especially surprised that an 
open source organization would hold  a conference in China in light of the 
Chinese government's censorship of the  internet.
  
 Please  reconsider.
