I'm disappointed that you chose Beijing for the 2008 OOoCon. Given
the Chinese government's poor human rights record and violent
crackdown on protests in Tibet, a decision to hold any conference in
China is a tacit endorsement of the government's conduct. I am
especially surprised that an open source organization would hold a
conference in China in light of the Chinese government's censorship
of the internet.
Please reconsider.

Should we ban the United States too for holding such oppresion over
American Samoa's shadow contracts and Cuba's economic embargo? Maybe
Venezuela for holding oppression over their own and france for high
level of discrimination?
