I have just (6 hours ago) downloaded and, I thought, installed,  
"OpenOffice.org2.4 (en-US)".  But when I 'point-and-click' the icon on my  
desktop, I am presented with a window which lists the 31 items (File  folders, 
Applications, Cabinet files and so on)  - all 131 Mb, but I cannot  activate 
either an 'Open Document' function, or a 'Commence document'  function, or 
anything similar, as they don't exist.

 In other words, I cannot use the program.

 What do you suggest I do, other than wipe the lot and return to my 'old  
faithful' MS Works?
