Not that I think there is anything wrong with Alexandro's encouragement to "build an extension" but I always have to smile when folks who know programming think it's "easy". Is it easy for most of us on this list, who know nothing of C or Java and have never programmed anything?

AFAIK this is a list for the general population of people using and trying out OOo as well as for those involved in developing it.

Based on such "it's easy" comments, I tried volunteering to do QA for the Mac Porting group once upon a time. Then I was told to download stuff and build it on my machine, whatever that means, and joined the Mac porting list (which I still lurk on) but don't understand most of the programmer's lingo used and feel pretty useless as part of the project.

Nothing in Xhacker's original message on this thread would lead one to think s/he knows how to program:

I think OpenOffice should add a Clipboard like MSOffice. When I write a very
long article, the Clipboard is very convenient. But to my surprise, OOo has no
Clipboard.Clipboard is very important! This is why I can not leave MSOffice.
I really hope I will see Clipboard in OOO.

Just looks like a suggestion from a nonprogramming end-user (like me)
