I don't care if someone reads my message - though I don't want spam, and
I've noticed an increase in the amount of spam recently, which probably
is partly because my email address is published in OpenOffice.org's
site. Yahoogroups also have a lot of open discussion lists, but they
remove the e-mail address, so spammers can't collect these (see for
instance
http://tech.dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/biofuelwatch/message/3112) . You
really should do the same, I think it is amateurishly not to do this.
And an unprofessional approach in this issue also is bad will for the
whole OpenOffice.org project I think.

I haven't seen any other site that has mirrored my e-mail address (I
googled my address and found this archive), so there is no need for any
hunting.

Because "spammers" are not a group of people who meet every day and
change their collected e-mail addresses. Some spammers apparently have
got access to my e-mail address, so of course I will try to make sure
not more spammers get it.
Best wishes,
