I am wondering why doesn't OpenOffice partner with the Sunbird/Thunderbird team

The more pertinent question is why the _existing_
Thunderbird/OpenOffice.org partnership hasn't seen fit to publicize
that, or any of the other tools that make
Thunderbird/Sunbird&Lightning/OpenOffice.org "functionally" equivalent
to MSO and Outlook.
I, and I can guess many others, did not know of a "partnership" between
OpenOffice.org and Mozilla (Thunderbird/Lighting). Where did you find
such a relationship? The script that was posted was from a third party
that was working independent of either OpenOffice.org or Mozilla.
"Functionally" is in quotes, because Thunderbird is still unable to
retrieve email. (When there are over five thousand unread,
unretrieved, presumably new messages in an account, the displayed
message when attempting to retrieve email should not be "No New
Messages".)
If your having problems with Thunderbird, then post in the proper forum
or mailing list at Mozilla. I can not verify your problem as I have
never had enough "New messages" to test the limit.
