years ago, when a developer told me flat out that, for the criteria I
defined Thunderbird would never ever retrieve email. I don't remember
the exact criteria I gave, but it was on the order of retrieving 1 000
emails per hour from each of ten accounts.
I am sorry to hear they would not consider your request. I would hate
to have than many emails to go through in a day let alone an hour.
