No software in the world can do what I need it to do.
I'm a teacher and amateur musician and often I need to have a song
transposed to a different key e.g. from G-major to D-major. But I have to do
this manually: find every G-chord and change it to D. This can sometime be a
bit troublesome as I have to use color-coding. E.g. if I change all G-chords
in the text below (I'm Moving On - Rascal Flats) I get an intro like this D
C D - I can't tell if it's right or I still have to transpose the last
D-chord to an A...
Intro G C D

If I had a function in OO where I could choose the key of the song in e.g. a
dropdown menu and every chord is an object that can be locked to a specific
place in the lyrics. Then this object could be changed according to the
chosen key - or if I change the key (=transpose it).
Furthermore, if the chord-object is locked to a specific place I can change
font-style and -size etc. without changing their relative position - as have
happened in the example above.
If someone could programme this feature into OO, he or she would forever be
included in my evening prayers! ;-)

I am sure such a function will never appear in any office suite. The
only way that any software will ever be offered is if a company that
makes software for musicians decides that there is enough of a market
for it to pay for its development, or if a musician who also dabbles in
computer programming decides to spend the time writing it for his or her
own use, and then makes it available FOSS for others. But as part of an
office suite, I seriously doubt it will ever happen.
