Despite living in London, I sometimes buy from companies
whose stated policy is that they only ship within the U.S..
I have always found it worth asking such sellers if they'll
ship to the U.K. if I pay the extra cost, and the only ones
who decline seem to be the larger operations, where the people
dealing with customers don't set the policies, and don't feel
able to bend the rules to make a sale. Otherwise, they seem
quite happy to ship to me, and I'd expect to be able to get
the same kind of response if I lived in Ireland.
