You are definitely going to need a yagi to go the mile. I am doing the same
over 900-feet with Engenius 3054s in Rootennas. Make sure if you are setting up
behind a router that the AP is a DHCP client. Otherwise you will get NAT
collisions and will not be able to access the internet. M@ is right as I too
was frustrated by the semantics of the documentation. One has to be the AP, the
other its client. I even took my setup a step further and put a switch at the
client end and set up another AP off that. Good luck!
