a lot of routers offer a second "guest" SSID nowadays, and dd-wrt, tomato, and the like have the features as well, linksys institutes a guest SSID that can only be configured using their configuration application on the E series, now all they need to do is have some separate and better QoS settings and we'd be set. for urban centers I like the Fon system best.
