Cool! I was (obviously?) unaware of the easily searchable/indexed  discuss
database.

I realize running a forum is pretty involved, which is why I suggested we
gauge the interest before going through all the effort. I'd also like to be
involved in the setup, seems fair since I suggested it.
Just because the whole 'space is a work in progress doesn't mean we can't
present a polished product to potential members or the public. We are
trying to attract a wide demographic, some of them may be design
professionals. You don't have to be a marketing or art history major to
appreciate a well designed interface. While it may not be a deal breaker
for someone just because our webpage is mediawiki or we only use mailing
lists to keep in touch, that's no reason to not have a fancy webpage or a
forum.
