I'm not a tax agent, I don't play one on TV but since the Knight foundation grant was not an infrastructure grant are we legally allowed to use those funds for improvements to the building and IT infrastructure? I'm trying to find exactly what 'charitable purposes'(can we ask the Knight Foundation?) are in the eyes of the IRS as well as some infrastructure grants we can apply to. So far all I have been able to get through is: http://www.irs.gov/Charities-&-Non-Profits/Charitable-Organizations/Exempt-Purposes-Internal-Revenue-Code-Section-501%28c%29%283%29 and http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-tege/eotopicb80.pdf which I am skimming since it's lengthy, more historical, and I have time sensitive school things I also need to be doing
