Financial Report:

Nothing to say

Proposals:

Andrew - No new membership applications
* Will - Do the sponsors have to know you?
* Devin - Just come and get to know people.

Philip - 6 months of conversation but never proposed: Synhak establish a senior
membership fee at a fixed rate, age 62 or older. Several reasons being
it is in-line with other organizations and businesses, and it will be an
incentive to get seniors to join synhak and bring wisdom and experience. A lot
of people out there that can be approached to join. Some seniors are on limited
incomes. Devin - Second the proposal Philip - I will write a formal final
wording.
* Alex - How are we going to prove it?
* Philip - ID, Proof of age
* Alex - $20 is reasonable

Becca - Family proposal didn't pass but was discussed last week.
* Becca read the proposal out loud
* Andrew - we are making a rule for an issue that we have had no problems with
at all, with the possibility of minors not being supervised.
* Mike - No reason to restrict minors for having a key
* Andrew - No just exclusively making an exception for Robert
* Omar - Who signed the key application page?
* Andrew - A parent
* Becca - I think since we have to consens on a key application then we
shouldn't need to restrict it based on age
* Steve - I will re-write it

Discuss:

Will - Can we get flare on subredit
* Omar - Yes

Mike - Projector Screen
* Andy - Big ladder to hold in different spots to try it, or move the post (j/k)
* Philip - Suspend the projector from a rail
* Devin - 4 point drop down with chains to hang it anywhere
* Mike - wanted to suspend from the ceiling

Omar - Philip brought to my attention that the kitchen fund and the beverage
fund have been ignored so just a reminder if you use it drop something in
please.
* Philip - Rob brought in a case of 24 cans of pop last week and it's gone and
not contributing
* Devin - Can we glue the donation jar to the fridge, I have no problem with it
seeing as it is my fridge
* Omar - Put $30 worth of items in
* Philip - if you get a pop put a quarter in, get a beer put a buck, sounds
good to me
* Andy - Got a lot of people coming in now, we need someone emptying the jars
now, why not go back to devins idea and get a vending machine
* Phillip - Makerspace used one for snacks as well as electronic components
* Devin - Nickel slot with just random things
* Becca - going along the lines, we need to start talking about more
fundraising ideas. I'm planning a silent auction going down to OSC to talk to
nick about using their place as a location. I don't have a problem doing it
here if we can make it presentable. So I'm suggesting we go elsewhere. Torrie
and I were tossing around ideas of fundraising, I suggest bumper stickers even
if you don't have a car you can still slap it to other places. As well as a
50/50 raffle.
* Andy - love the idea of the raffle, the family readiness group use it to
support functions and it works great as well as it is very enjoyable. Weekly
seems a bit much.
* Becca - how do we keep track of people with the money and tickets?
* Angelo - Meet once a month and always close a meeting with a 50/50 raffle,
tickets are given out there at the event
* Steve - someone responsible for open hours keeps track of it
** Philip - That's what I was going to say
* Omar - one person on FRG commity was responsible for the raffle
* Becca - I will do it the month of May

* Phillip - Synhak money, synhak owes several members money for build-out of
the space, I don't want to wait a month or more for reimbursed for the expenses
* Omar - Send me the reciepts and I will make sure it gets reimbursed
* Phillip - I'm tired of the beuracracy that makes it impossible to get
anything like this done in a timely manner
* Mike - Did we all agree/consens on the cards for champions, It is going
forward as it was approved but I didn't get to express my views on it
* Omar - It fufills the purpose of champions
* Angelo - with the other clubs I belong to someone goes out figures out the
cost, makes a proposal, gets approved, gets the money before the project is
started.
* Devin - I initially opposed this proposal, didn't like it at all at first:
Reads out email from bizops
* Andy - Philip's here now, we're here now, we need this up an running, why
don't we just give him the money he'll go buy the parts and it'll get done
tonight.
* Omar - the way it's setup right now no money can be handed out tonight,
synhak isn't a place where you can go out and buy stuff and demand your money
back. You need to say hey I need to spend this money for the space, for this
project, before you spend any money. If the membership agrees then the money is
released. We just don't want the responsiblity on one person, so that if they
are not available due to circumstances.
* Andy - If all we need is a verbal agreement then my bills need reimbursed
since it was discussed ahead of time.
* Devin - It will be reimbursed just not now, but me and andy have been told no
on reimbursments and just only us. Given reciepts to others to get the money.
Someone took something the wrong way, and they are attacking back using the
position as treasurer. But this needs to stop right now, because it is
discriminatory.
* Andy - alot of this stuff wasnt decided on until after the money was spent.
* Devin - If I have to call her and sit down with a mediator to settle this now
then I will but it needs done. Because this is not how a non-profit should be
ran.
* Philip - Organization needs to have a mechanism in place to reimbursed for
cost, and second we need a mechanism to allow people to go out and buy things
to fix items at the space that doesn't take 3 weeks or more to do anything.
* Alex - the champions are the only ones that have the authority to take over
the treasurers position if it is not being fullfilled, or to make sure they are
doing their job. We need to call a board meeting to discuss this issue.
* Omar - forward the proposals to remove Torrie to the public list
* Devin calls for a board meeting upon consensus of the membership at the
meeting
