Understandable. I really hate that. SYNHAK currently has a culture of "we need
to all consense on this issue or vote on it or something!"

I wanted to build a financial committee to figure that stuff out quickly, but
got sidetracked when those racks came around. Then we wanted to build a
community working group, but that got sidetracked when Devin wanted to "just
vote on it" even though he knew full well that the proposal needed another
week. Then the meetings devolved into screaming and yelling, so I felt
compelled to step up and re-steer us back into consensus and productive
meetings by being moderator. Then someone spouted transphobic bullshit and
moaned about a workbench I built, so I stepped away to get out of the toxic
environment in the hopes that the membership would maybe figure it out.

Then I hear that I'm being removed as Treasurer due to Devin and Andy's
persecution complex, so I started looking for housing in San Francisco because
SYNHAK is dead to me.

It died months ago when I was convinced to rescind my proposal to remove
Justin from the board. I have since lost all will to contribute in any
productive fashion other than to point a spotlight at the corpse and shout
"Behold! 'Twas bludgeoned by bureaucracy!"

Trust me, I am also incredibly frustrated at this. This is the exact reason I
wanted to open up the expenses account and why it has $3,000 of the grant
money in it:

* I was frustrated at how long it takes for money to be spent
* I hate handling reimbursements
* I hate getting nasty emails in my inbox demanding that I take time away from
my real-life responsibilities to figure out if someone deserves reimbursement
or membership credit
* To solve the above, I created a separate checking account with the explicit
purpose of giving champions the card to let them figure out how to dispense
money instead of just me
* Devin refused to participate in this system
* Devin has called for a board vote to remove me from Treasurer because I
won't give him money

Obviously, Devin has some personal issue with me and he refuses to talk with
me about this. The solution to this dispute is to remove me and kick me to the
curb without discussion or mediation. The height of passive-aggressiveness.
The lowest of scum.
