OF COURSE, but the customers are THE money... i mean, if the customers don't use the OOo, the company neither... but, when the use of OOo would be massive, the situation will be different.

>>With a curse of OOo

With a curse of OOo the time for practice is low. Time is money.

HI

I think the best way is the promotion "mouth to mouth" and those articles in the magazines (i knew about OOo reading a magazine). the other consideration is the language integration (well, that's done, in this case) and the documentation about it... the forum and mail lists are indispensable for those who want's to be updated or having a trouble...

in the case of companies, i think it's more difficult to change it, because, they don't want to take the risk in the case of customers who don't work with OOo. some goberments (like brazil) has take the free software as a "philosophy" and, then, it's easiest for the companies who work for them to take a change. in a few years, could be more easy because of it's number of users.

in my case, i'm just proving OOo and it's has been a good surprise... now i recommend it to everyone.

saludos

(sorry for my english... have you think about to do a translator incorporated?, jajajajajaja (oops, hahahahahahaha))

bye

I've been using quite a lot of BabelFish today... :-) I think that the last comment was quite true; nonetheless, my concern about countries was because of the wild number of countries covered by your community. So, Argentina and Spain are two countries where OOo and FLOSS are very active. Thank you for the info.

Now let me ask you this: is there anything that could be done that could help boost the success of OOo all around the hispanic-speaking world?

Cheers,

Charles.
