I'm not sure if the problem was ever fixed but back when I using CF5 (I think) there was an issue with cffile not working when doing it from a Mac and the team I worked on had come up with a work around for this. I have that code in my older archives which I don't have with me at the moment but if you don't get a fix for it from someone else in the list, hit me back later and I will dig it up for you.
