That seems odd. CFWindow isn’t a tag that can be restricted in CF (in Sandbox Security, or Resource Security, as it’s called in Standard). I suspect instead that it’s that the server you were on wasn’t CF 8, as that is a new cf8 tag. But yes, there are ways to get what CFWINDOW does (including using other Ajax libraries).

The GoDaddy hosting site does not support cfwindow, the very first CF tag I had occasion to use. For now (since it was only windows of text I wanted at the moment anyway), I've switched to '#' links to sections on the main page, and when my current contract with GoDaddy expires, it's on to hostek as my preferred site. Their site might be an especially good deal since, as I've now learned, my daughter's restaurant will be a nonprofit company. On the other hand, it appears from their website that no discount is given for ColdFusion sites, and MSSQL entails an extra charge. Even so, it seems like a great deal. Thanks again, everyone.
