You'll have to get a copy of James Ward's book when its out of course :)
Honestly, I found the online docs at Adobe to be fine

So, I don't have any real recommendations.

Other than that books like ActionScript Cook book or ActionScript 3 with
Design Patterns serve the more specialized topics.

Oh, there is a Flex for Dummies out now too written by that bedazzlin man
Doug McCune and super Deepa.  And there's a large Wiley book in the works
currently too.
