Printing in Flex is covered in the documentation here: http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/printing_1.html
Usually the printed format will differ slightly from the on screen format, for example removing scrollbars using scrollbarpolicy. You can handle this several ways, but one way I've handled it in the past is to have two viewStates for a component - one for screen and one for printing. To print a component, I instatiate a new instance of the component, pass any values into it that it needs, set the viewState to "printable" and send it to the print spool as documented in the livedocs.
