Madhavi, I think what you are asking may be a question that may be interpreted as the definition of some of the core behavior of an AIR application. So, it may appear as an obvious, "yes".
Take this as a really loose interpretation, but an AIR application very much acts like a Vista gadget that is undocked. So, remove the Vista and remove the copywritten usage of the word Gadget in the context of Vista. What you have is a stand alone application that can reside in the same space and is not limited to Vista users and is not made by Microsoft and uses AIR platform.
