Madhavi,
I think what you are asking may be a question that may be interpreted as the
definition of some of the core behavior of an AIR application.  So, it may
appear as an obvious, "yes".

Take this as a really loose interpretation, but an AIR application very much
acts like a Vista gadget that is undocked.  So, remove the Vista and remove
the copywritten usage of the word Gadget in the context of Vista.  What you
have is a stand alone application that can reside in the same space and is
not limited to Vista users and is not made by Microsoft and uses AIR
platform.

What you see in the demo is a gadget that acts on its own in the same
"space".
