Thanks for the info, Eric... Unfortunately that solution still appears to require user-interaction of some sort... You can't just hit Print and have it go to the printer that you want it to go to. Unless, of course, the printer is shared on the network and available to the server -- so it's the same situation I'm in with PHP sharedPrinter or CF getPrinterInfo... Even if I create the PDF file and save it to the user's computer (and that requires them clicking on a "save" button) it's still not going to automate the decision as to which printer the file goes to...
Having said that -- if it were possible to save the file without user-interaction, it might work for us to have a process running in the background that looks for PDF files in a given directory, then automatically prints them when they appear there. That'd work for all our company's computers, but not the client's computers unless they were willing to install and run such an applet... The more I look, the more it looks like AIR is the only option... :-( L.
