I know email is preferred by some people on his list, but I really think the Elections (soon to be renamed Governence) subforum of the contribs.org forums would be a much better venue for discussion. I know some of you here much prefer email but I see the benefits as being: - more easily searchable - easier to tell who is who - see how many posts they have, view someones's previous posts to figure out who they are and how long they have been active in the community, etc - lets more people see the discussion and become more interested in what is going on - ie, maybe there are some other new people with good ideas. - can subscribe easily to the whole forum or individual topics to get notified of all replies to your email, or use the rss feeds. - and if we are going to invite everyone to join this list, then it's kind of defeating the purpose of the "barrier to entry" theory. I think it's easier to sift though everyone's opinion and decide who's I think is a good one in the forums rather than here. Charlie, you led the movement to keep the discussion on the mailing lists, any second thoughts, or do you still think it's better here?
