Good on you, but this isn't the norm. Most businesses here in the US are having to make changes to remain in the black or at least keep from needing to lay people off. My company has faired out better than most engineering firms in my area. I've not had to lay anyone off and likely won't, whereas the engineering firm right down the road from me went from 80 people a year ago to 10 today. > coincidental that we all felt like joining. Perhaps it is an > "engineering" thing. My wife does work for a wide range of clients across various fields. She tells me it is all about creating a "buzz" about your business. I don't think it's really about picking up clients directly these sites, but indirectly due to the promotion they give you.
