Jane & Xiangfu- The prospect of mtpaint being ported for our NanoNotes is very exciting. Its simplicity and speed have made it my preferred raster editor over GIMP and Photoshop, and I've been fantasizing about running it on my little companion. I do have two suggestions, if I may.
First, when editing at the pixel level, I love the way mtpaint zooms in and out consistently with the mouse scroll wheel. Could this function be mapped to the volume buttons in our version? Second, mtpaint is a very mouse-oriented tool. Am I correct that we'll probably be emulating a mouse using the arrow keys? If so, might it be possible to move from one cell to the next with one arrow press regardless of zoom? Lastly, unrelated, I believe that csound might be an ideal music production tool on our platform: http://csound.sourceforge.net/ [allin] On Nov 28, 2010 9:00 PM, "Xiangfu Liu" <[email protected]> wrote: > On 11/28/2010 07:05 PM, Jane Andreas wrote: >> Hello everyone, >> >> my main interest for computing in general is to create art such as animation, >> comics, music, etc. My current wishlist for the Ben is: >> >> Mtpaint > > Hi Jane > > added to TODO list. > > from the mtpaint website: > ~~~ > Due to its efficient design it can run on older PC hardware (e.g. a 200MHz CPU and 16MB of free RAM). > ~~~ > >> >> Aewan (see http://aewan.sourceforge.net/) > > Aewan just added to openwrt-package.git: > new package, aewan, Ascii Art Editor http://qi-hw.com/p/openwrt-packages/e357b2c > >> >> any sound recorder > > we have 'arecord' and 'sox' in NanoNote for now. > >> >> >> some farfetched desires might be GIMP, sound synths, and the one I really want to be possible, >> some smaller scale version of Blender, or perhaps when I learn more in the distant future, >> a rewritten 3d content creation program perhaps based on GNU Plots capacities?
