Ok, but then again, I support some medical research association here in Italy. 
I don't expect a seat at the table when they make any decision. I'm just a 
supporter, and I don't see this as tyranny. I continue sending them money on my 
own volition.

Back to the discussion at hand, the point is that the FSFE decided to not have 
the fellowship anymore and switch to a supporter model instead. I think that's 
fine and has been done in a transparent way (that is, former fellows received 
communication about it). At that point people could decide whether to continue 
contributing or to withdraw their support. I don't see any problem with this.

The fact is that if the fellowship doesn't exist anymore *internally* I see no 
point in continuing to pretend it's still there. It should be accepted that if 
it exists it's something outside the FSFE, and that's fine as well.
