It is important to take a high-level look

Consider how FSFE are misusing the name from FSF:

- they use the name to get invited to events where they give speeches
about open source instead of free software

- they use the name to get donations

- they use the name to get volunteers

- they use the name to add emphasis to attacks on people's reputations

If people see that FSFE has no right to use the name, then it means
everything else they do loses credibility too.

I recently shared[1] the FSF/FSFE sister agreement

Here is a leaked, confirmed and authentic private summary from John
Sullivan, FSF Executive Director, about the FSF / FSFE relationship:

Subject: FSFE
Date: 2017-06-02
"I have been trying to discuss them with Jonas and Matthias for the last
several years, but have gotten nowhere, and in fact things are now much
worse than they were before. They made it clear at our last in-person
meeting in April that they do not intend to change anything."

Jonas Oberg wrote[2] at the same time:
"I can truly see why the FSF believes we are in violation of the agreement"

There you are. Matthias Kirschner uses the name FSFE in much the same
way that people sell fake Rolexes on ebay

Regards,

Daniel
