Its low volume, and people do report such sites, their letters and the
response they got
there.

Sometimes they are successful (most common reply is something on the
lines of "we are aware of the problem and  it will be fixed in the new
improved version of the site, on which we are working on these days" -
ALL websites are always working on the new improved version - but
sometimes this is actually true).

A polite note seems to be more effective (lower chance of being
spam-filtered/ignored).
