The expressions could be already used in 0.8.5 version since the library
always used commons-beanutils to resolve properties... probably not
documented and not known by many user, but working..
The only addiction is the scope prefix, like in jstl: without the prefix
everything works like in the previous version and you can use the
separate "scope" attribute...

I'd also liked to move to jstl since commons-el has been released, but I
didn't want to totally break compatibility...

I wasn't aware that the 0.8 version used these expressions? If it 
did, then I suppose there's no harm in releasing it, although I'd still 
vote to refactor with commons-el in the near future.
