The semantics of the above chapter elements are not crystal clear. Instead, I would have written <chapter href="../ditamaps/Contact_Contacts.en.ditamap" format="ditamap"/> which would be slightly better. > > Or could it be that in order for the TOC to generate the chapter href > must be present? > --> ditac limitations and implementation specificities are found there: http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/limitations.html#limitations I didn't find there anything related to the problem you describe. --> A TOC is generated if and only if * your bookmap contains frontmatter/booklists/toc or backmatter/booklists/toc See http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/v1.2/os/spec/langref/toc.html OR * you pass the -toc option (or more advanced option -frontmatter) to ditac. See http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/commandLine.html#commandLine__option-toc See http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/commandLine.html#commandLine__option-frontmatter --> May be you are talking about the ``PDF toc'' (AKA PDF bookmarks)? If this is the case, pass XSLT stylesheet parameter "-p pdf-outline yes" to ditac. See http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/_distrib/doc/manual/xsltParams.html#xsltParams__pdf-outline --> If you have already done all this and it still does not generate a TOC, then please send us a bug report. How to write a usable bug report is explained here: http://www.xmlmind.com/ditac/support.html -- XMLmind DITA Converter Support List [email protected] http://www.xmlmind.com/mailman/listinfo/ditac-support
